Tennessee

Tennessee
America the Beautiful
Barbara A. Somervill
Most people think of southern charm and country music when they think of Tennessee. While these two things are definitely a part of it, this lovely state has so much more going on. Tennessee is also known for its rich history, pleasant weather, delicious food, and agriculture. The author has pulled an incredible amount of facts and statistics together in a colorful and easy to read book. The Travel Guide section gives tips for exploring the state, by town, with mention of local museums, historical sites, or parks. The Project Room section is packed with fun ideas for school projects and tips and resources for students wanting to write a research paper. Drawings, photographs, charts, and more fill each page to make it visually interesting to students and adults alike. When finished, the reader will have learned about Tennessee history, climate, plant and animal life, and the people of Tennessee. The book would be an excellent resource for schools and home school curriculum.

I received this book free of charge from Children's Lit in exchange for my honest review.
